April 24,2023 - Governor Moore signed bills HB791 and SB368. These bills provide language in the law for LEOPS (Law Enforcement Officer’s Pension System) to now include Emergency Medical Technicians in the retirement plan. This means our EMT’s will now have a better retirement to help them with their future. This will also help Talbot County recruit and retain employees.
February 21, 2023 - Members from local IAFF unions travel to Annapolis to show support and to testify before the House and Senate Committees on a bill that will include Emergency Medical Technicians to the LEOPS retirement plan.
